The Ahnapee State Trail offers year-round recreation for residents of Green Bay and the communities that surround it. A local brewery has decided to put its support behind this recreational area, and is hosting a pig roast in support of the cause.
This will be the fifth year for Badger State Brewing Company’s “Pig Out” fundraiser, and for $35, guests at the event will find their plates filled with locally sourced pork prepared by Crash Test Smokers, and this is just the start of the fun to be had.
The doors of the evening will open at 6:00 pm, and the attendees will be invited to take their seat for a “pork-centric meal”. A raffle will be held, as will an even split draw, and one of the prizes that will be up for grabs will be pork from pigs that enjoyed a diet of spent grains from the brewery.
Seating for the occasion will be on a first come, first served basis, but anyone who would like to sit with a group is welcome to book a table of eight. The monies that are raised through this activity will be donated to The Friends of the Ahnapee, which is a not for profit group that develops and maintains the trail for the public. Local businesses can be called upon to help sponsor an event like this, and any that do can have their Logo Design included in the publications used to market it to the community.
Badger State Brewing Company will be welcoming guests for this evening of beer and pork on April 5th. It can be found at 990 Tony Canadeo Run.
