While many may think of Wisconsin as “America’s Dairyland,” it is home to several successful cranberry operations too, and a Green Bay outing will offer a sneak peek into how this small fruit is grown and harvested.
A September outing will explore what makes the state the nation’s top producer for cranberries. The attendees will visit a fifth generation farm that grows these fruits from the Ericaceae plant family, and it will give them an insider’s view not often available to the public.
During their visit to the farm, participants will head out to the bog so they can see first-hand how they are cultivated. The harvesting process will be explained, and they can even put on some hip waders for a fun photo op. The venue’s farm shop will be open, and afterwards, a farm-to-table lunch will be served. This may provide the attendees with inspiration to get creative with cranberries in their own kitchen.
Tickets for this in-person investigation into how cranberries are grown are $130 each, and this includes transportation by motor coach to and from the farm from the designated meet-up area. Liability waivers, Letterheads, and other custom business Forms can be prepared for a specific event by local Stationery printers.
This visit to one of Wisconsin's cranberry bogs is scheduled for September 13. The meet-up area will be the Hoffman Road Park and Ride, and the transport will be pulling out at 7:30 am.
