Green Bay flies kites at festival

The BayCare Clinic is preparing for its Fourth Annual Fly a Kite Fest.

The daylong event encourages families to come out and have some fun while celebrating kite flying both skilled and amateur.

Visitors will be able to fly their kites throughout the day, but children will also have the chance to participate in a kite decorating activity. Unique Flying Objects will have a stand set up so that participants can purchase a kite at the event. Additionally, there will be a giant show that includes precision stunt kite demonstrations, as well as a celebrity Running of the Bols in the afternoon.

Aside from all the aerial activity, the fest also offers a lot for families to see and do. Community First Credit Union will be performing a candy drop at least three times throughout the day. Several other activities for kids will also happen, including face painting and crafts activities, as well as many different food vendors.

All proceeds from the event go to support the efforts of N.E.W to provide healthy child development programs in the Green Bay community. The BayCare Clinic is still looking for volunteers to help with the event, which include some free Promotional Products in the form of T-Shirts and armbands.

The Fourth Annual Fly a Kite Fest will be held on June 25 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Arnie Wolff Sports Complex, located at 3240 Humboldt Rd. Admission is free to the public. Anyone interested in more information should visit the website.
