Green Bay fair is blooming

Residents in Green Bay and the surrounding areas are getting ready for the 33rd Annual Garden Fair. The event combines vendors, demonstrations, activities, music, and more for a three-day celebration of gardening.

The special guest of this year’s fair will be Melinda Myers. A TV/radio host, author, and columnist, Myers brings over 30 years of horticulture experience and has written more than 20 Books on the subject. She will run two Q & A sessions during the first two days, as well as a discussion of garden renovations and a breakfast time chat about vertical gardening.

Additionally, the event will have a zone just for kids, where they can learn about gardening and participate in some crafts and basic gardening activities, live music, and a hands-on studio where visitors can get involved in making their own decorations and more. The first day will also feature a farmers’ market and activities themed around chalk art.

No doubt being promoted with Posters and Flyers, the Garden Fair will be held on June 2 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, June 3 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and June 4 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens, located at 2600 Larsen Rd. Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for members. A full list of activities and times are available in the Botanical Garden’s newsletter or website.
