The ‘Frozen Tundra Wine Fest’ is coming to bring libation and fun to the people of Wisconsin.
The event will begin with an exclusive engraved wine glass and an ice bar to serve the many vintages of wine that grow in the tundra region. Live music will also be performed during the outdoor event, and attendees will be able to sample gourmet food. Tours of the vineyard will also be conducted during the fest, and sleigh rides will roam around the winter wonderland that surrounds the area.
The wine fest is sponsored by the Parallel 44 Vineyard and Winery. The group operates near the western shore of Lake Michigan, and some of its vintages have been voted the best wines in Wisconsin. The group is running the event to showcase the unique cold weather grapes that grow in the Green Bay region and are hardy enough to thrive even on the tundra.
The event will be held on February 27 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Parallel 44 Vineyard and Winery located at N2185 Sleepy Hollow Rd. in Kewaunee. Tickets cost $15 and include the wine glass and food and wine samples. Other food and wine will be available for purchase.
