Seasonal event back for holiday season

Festival of Trees will return to Green Bay in mid-November. The event will feature over 40 decorated trees in front of the National Railroad Museum.

This event will help start off the holiday season for the National Railroad Museum. Each tree will be uniquely decorated by non-profit organizations and businesses from around Green Bay. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the sight of holiday-themed trees while also participating in other festivities and exhibits.

The museum will host its usual exhibits, which include vintage trains from America’s past. Organizers will also ready more holiday-related activities like a train ride inspired by the story of The Polar Express. This will feature a live performance of the “Hot Chocolate Dance” from the book, along with a reading of the original story. These events often utilize flyer printing to provide more information on event activities.

Organizers are also looking for sponsors to help support the event. Each sponsor can also decorate one of the trees. Anyone interested can download and fill a form on the museum’s website.

The Festival of Trees will start on November 18 and will run until January 2. The museum is open from 9:00AM to 5:00PM on Mondays to Saturdays, and 11:00AM to 5:00PM on Sundays. Locals can find the museum at 2285 South Broadway Street. Tickets are $6 for anyone age two and older.
