Todd Tilkens has fished throughout his life, but in the past decade, he has focused his efforts on learning the waters of the bay around Green Bay. Recently, his love of fishing drove him to begin a new business, Fish’n Walleye Guide Service.
With the help of his wife, Teresa, the Army veteran of 23 years now runs a charter fishing service in the Wisconsin waters.
Tilkens is a captain certified through the U.S. Coast Guard, and has certifications in AED, CPR, and first aid. He also has a license as a Wisconsin Guide. During his free time, he is often found scouring the waters of Green Bay, looking for the best places to catch trophy sized walleye. With her experience running a home childcare business, Teresa has handled the social media, brochure printing, and accounting tasks.
Fish’n Walleye Guide Service maintains a large boat with a 250-horsepower motor, fully prepared to tackle the sometimes rough waters of Green Bay. Rods, reels, and tackle are all state of the art. Tilkens’ goal is to show his clients how trophy fish can be caught, and to help them become better anglers.
His own record fish is 33 inches long, with anything over 30 inches considered trophy size. He hopes to parlay his love of the pastime into a great experience for his clients.
