Eau Claire’s Downtown Farmers’ Market will open its doors again early in January. The market will be open to anyone living within Eau Claire.
The market will provide locally grown food and items, which include meat, fish, bakery items, honey, soaps, and vegetables. Local farmers from the Chippewa Valley region will gather at the market to sell these goods. Banner printing will be utilized by the vendors to promote their products. Entrants can also sign up for the chance to win the event’s “Market Basket,” which will contain a variety of goods for the winner to take home.
The event will take place indoors, and the organizers ask participants to wear face masks and follow social distancing rules. Hand sanitizer and face masks will also be made available at the event.
The market will happen inside the main ballroom at the Lismore Hotel. The rest of the hotel is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the ballroom will remain available for the event. January 9th is the first date for the market, and it will be open between 9:00 AM and 12:30 PM. Entry for the event is free.
The market happens on the second Saturday of each month up until April, so anyone interested can still experience the event if they cannot attend the January date.
