The Clear Water Comedy organization will hold an eating contest in November at The Plus in Eau Claire.
Clear Water Comedy's Second Ever Eating Contest is an event where people can go up against local comedians for a chance to win year-long passes for BOGO drinks at The Plus. There will be multiple competitions held at the event, including a Pitcher of Beer Chugging Contest and Large Supreme Pizza Eating Contest. Guests can also compete in two chicken-themed competitions where they can attempt to finish a course of spicy wings or speed-eat the most regular chicken wings.
Those who want to participate in the eating contests must sign up at the event. Attendees can fill out cards to place in Boxes for each competition. Entrants will be randomly selected for the contests, and guests are allowed to partake in only one contest. There will be drawings for people to win other prizes at the event without competing, such as tickets to comedy shows and food specials at The Plus.
The eating contest will be held on Thursday, November 5th from 7:00 pm to 8:45 pm. Doors to the main room of the event will open at 6:00 pm. Tickets for the experience will cost $10 per person, though discounts are available to those who buy their admission online. Local businesses that host challenges similar to this may use poster printing services to get more people interested in their contests.
