For many, there is nothing quite like a meal using ingredients fresh from their own garden, and thanks to an Eau Claire workshop, people will be introduced to this experience.
Tin Roof Garden has organized a class that will be planting up container gardens of popular herbs used for homemade salsas, pasta toppings, and other sauces.
The facilitator will walk the attendees through the process of putting their garden together, and the materials they need will be provided to them. The herbs will be easy to grow, and the planters can be placed on a sunny porch or other suitable location. With a little tending to, these mini gardens can be expected to perform well all growing season long.
The registration fee is $50, and tickets have been made available in advance. Payment must be made at the time of registration.
For obvious reasons, gardening and other horticultural classes tend to be especially popular during spring. Learning materials for a workshop can be prepared by local Stationery printers.
Tin Roof Garden has scheduled this porch planter activity for Saturday, May 25. It will be held at 5310 Friedrick Road, and will begin at 9:00 am. Anyone interested is welcome to visit its website so they can reserve their seat, or they can do it by calling 715-834-4232.
