Eau Claire to make tracks for model railroad show

It will soon be all aboard for fun for Eau Claire’s model railway fans, as the 21st annual Train Show is right around the corner.

Hobbyists will soon be making tracks for the city, as its L.E. Philips YMCA Indoor Sport Center will be hosting this yearly event. It will be open for two days, and this year there will be new track layouts and vendors for the crowd to view and meet.

The function will be filled with a large variety of suppliers and other sellers, and while the roster is full, there is a wait list in case of any last-minute cancellations. All track gauges are welcome, and admission starts at $8 for adults, $3 for students, and free for kids age five and under. A discount will be offered to any adults who bring along a donation of non-perishable food to be passed along to a local food bank.

A hobby show is often built around a central theme, and this may dictate what sort of decor to use. A poster printing company will have lots of ideas for this, and can prepare a full range of items for a special occasion.

Hosted by the West Wisconsin Railroad Club, the 2023 annual Train Show is set to pull into Eau Claire on October 14 and 15.
