The ServSafe Food Manager Class and Certification Examination is set to take place in Eau Claire next month.
ServSafe is a nationwide program that is a part of the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation. A timely theme in this era of increased focus on hygiene, students who take part in this eight-hour course will receive ServSafe Food Manager Certification immediately once they successfully pass the exam.
Key topics on which ServSafe Food Manager Class will expand include why food safety is so important, properly handling and storing of food, how to avoid cross-contamination, sanitizing and cleaning, how to prepare food safely, proper regulation of storage temperatures, and an explanation of HACCP (hazard analysis and critical control points).
Eau Claire residents who are interested in attending the all-day food safety class can sign up online for a fee of $160 per person. Those who register within five business days of the event will receive digital Copies of all studying material. Early registrants will be mailed a hardcopy of the ServSafe 7th Edition Book as well as all other physical class materials. Organizers of education events commonly use printing services to produce physical copies of class materials for attending students.
