Eau Claire to hold Run Santa Run 5K

  • 2021-11-02
Next month, Eau Claire will hold its Run Santa Run 5K race. The event is an annual tradition where locals run in festive costumes.

Each participant will have the choice of either dressing up as a Santa, elf, or polar bear. Organizers will help provide parts of the costume, including shirts, hats, and accessories. Runners will then either run or walk a 5K course. There will also be a post-race party afterwards for all participants.

Each runner will also receive a race packet that includes their costume hats and accessories, a race medal, digital race photos, a long sleeve shirt, a free beverage coupon, and more. For events like these, the shirts and medals usually also feature a graphic design to celebrate the race. Though the race will be timed, there will not be awards given to winners. Instead, the first 25 entrants to finish will receive a prize.

Run Santa Run will take place on December 4th between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM. It will take place at Phoenix Park, located at 330 Riverfront Terrace. Registration to the race is $40, but participants can receive a complete refund on their purchase if they refer five other people. After registering, a unique link will be sent out to each participant, which they can use to refer others.
