Longfellow Elementary School has put out a call to those who call Eau Claire home to be part of a fundraiser it will hold this spring.
The annual 5k Puddle Jump is an activity that has come to be a local favorite, and the monies raised will benefit area kids. The staging area will be set up in Phoenix Park, and both online and in-person registration options are available.
The participants in the day can choose to run or walk, and the local disabled community can join in the fun as well and roll their way along in a wheelchair or other assistive device. T-Shirts featuring a special graphic design will be distributed for as long as supplies last.
The day will kick off with the kids’ Duckling Dash, and after this, the course will be taken over by the walkers and runners in the 5k. Packets of information about the function will be distributed in advance and at the gate.
According to the listing, the organizers are striving to keep administration costs low so as much money as possible can be donated to the school. A printing services company will have an assortment of ways to help an organization bring an event in at, or even under, its budget.
The 2023 Jeanne Richie Memorial Puddle Jump will be raising funds for Longfellow Elementary School on Saturday, April 22.
