This spring, an Eau Claire golf tournament will raise funds to help seek a cure for cancer.
The ChemCeed Foundation provides financial support for cancer research, as well as funds to help those battling the disease themselves. Its “Teeing off for a Cure” Scramble will hit the links at Lake Hallie Golf Course, and the fee to play is $75 per player. They can also opt to register as foursome.
Golfers will play nine holes, and they will receive the shared use of a cart. While they play golf, they can try their luck at the various on-course contests, and raffle draws will take place as well. Everyone will receive a drink ticket along with food, and the game will open with a shotgun start.
The listing for the fundraising tourney notes that the organizers greatly appreciate the support provided by the members of the area’s business community who have stepped up to sponsor the event. They have provided financial support and offered Corporate Gifts in kind for the activity. More information about their contributions can be found on its Facebook page.
Eau Claire golfers who have been hoping for an excuse to spend a day out on the course are welcome to sign up for this local tournament. It will be on offer on Friday, May 31, beginning at 12:00 noon.
