WildLanterns make Seattles Woodland Park Zoo glow
A unique exhibition will give Seattleites a chance to see the Woodland Park Zoo as they have never seen it before.
WildLanterns features giant glowing animals positioned around the zoo grounds that visitors can enjoy during the night. The lanterns are larger than life and represent four distinct eco-systems around the world. The event is taking the place of the zoo’s traditional WildLights display this season.
Animals represented by the lanterns include many species found in the American Northwest, as well as sea creatures, animals typically found on an African safari, and jungle wildlife. Grizzly bears, tigers, jellyfish, and giraffes will be set aglow for the holiday season.
Tickets are $28.95 for adults and $23.95 for children. Toddlers under two years old can enter free of charge. Ticketholders will be given a specific time in which they can visit the displays to limit the number of people in the zoo at any one time.
Events such as this one often require banner printing to announce the event and to recognize sponsors.
Wildlanterns begins Friday, November 13 and runs until Sunday, January 17, 2021. The Woodland Park Zoo is located at 5500 Phinney Ave. N. The zoo is closed every Monday and is also closed November 26 for Thanksgiving, and December 24 and 25. Hours are 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
