What's Happening in Seattle, WA…

Upcoming festival to teach all there is to know about tea

The 10th annual Northwest Tea Festival is taking place for two days beginning at the end of this month. It forms a part of the World of Tea series.

The festival is aimed at both experts in the industry and the general public who wish to learn more about their favorite beverage. There will be many experts on hand to answer questions, including authors, tea retailers, importers, and tea industry buyers.

There are set to be a number of workshops both free and paid (the paid ones cost between $10 and $20). Topics of discussion will include the benefits of using loose-leaf tea, the language of tea and the etiquette of tea drinking around the world.

Guests will have the opportunity to sample teas from all over the world at the Tea Bar. Vendors will also be on hand to sell a variety of teas, as well as accessories such as teapots, strainers, spoons, and cups.

This is a popular event in Seattle and in order to advertise, organizers will likely invest in printed materials such as flyers and posters.

The Northwest Tea Festival will be held at the Seattle Center from September 30 until October 1 beginning at 10:00 AM each day. Tickets are $15 and are good for both days. For the most current information about this event, visit the official website.
