Unique masquerade takes us back three centuries
The 8th annual Venice is Sinking Venetian masked carnival ball is taking place in Seattle this February.
In this Epiphany Events production, guests are encouraged to dress in period costume of the late 1700s, but formal wear is acceptable. A mask, however, is mandatory and nobody will be admitted without one.
Entertainment will be provided by circus troupes, wandering minstrels, contortionists, aerialists and other unique entertainers. DJs Jaymz Nylon and Mixed Up will be spinning tunes in two different rooms for dancing. Guests will be treated to the Kings Table Dinner, can visit the Marie Antoinette dessert bar for $25, have professional pictures taken for $12, and enjoy the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. Marie Antoinette, the Mad Hatter and his Queen will be making special appearances during the evening.
VIP tickets are available, which include all activities and those who take up the offer will receive a free swag bag and have access to a private bar.
This is sure to be a popular event in the Seattle social calendar and organizers will likely be advertising it widely with the help of local printing companies.
Venice is Sinking is taking place at the ACT Theatre on February 21 from 8:30 pm - 1:00 am. General admission tickets are $75 and VIP tickets cost $220. For more information about this event, call 206-374-9241.
