Seattle workshop to construct custom garden cultivator handles
Many gardeners consider their hand cultivator to be one of their favorite gardening tools, and they will soon be able to make one to keep or give to someone special.
The staff at Rockler Woodworking and Hardware in Seattle have organized a workshop that will see registrants learn the fundamentals of wood turning by making a custom handle for a garden cultivator. The materials needed are included in the $75 ticket price, and the facilitator will walk the attendees through the project, step by step.
The class will open with an introduction to the tools that will be used, and each participant will be able to design their own handle. After this, they will carve the wood and finish the handle, and it will introduce techniques for crafting medium sized spindle turnings. The materials for the activity are included in the ticket price, and the class’s scheduled run time is two hours.
Hands-on workshops give people an opportunity to learn by doing, and if they are given additional educational materials to take home with them, they will be able to keep on learning. A brochure printing company can offer an assortment of informational publications, and the cost for these will depend upon the item requested and the overall size of the project.
Rockler Woodworking and Hardware in Seattle has made arrangements to run this class on May 6. It will begin at 2:00 pm.
