Seattle to enjoy Festival of Trees

This year, the 41st annual Festival of Trees gala will start the seasonal tree viewing. This event helps the Seattle Children’s hospital research foundation.

The gala is the opening event of the season. Tree viewing is available after the gala through the end of the year, and there is a special celebration the day after the gala. There will also be a teddy bear suite set up the following week.

The gala itself features drinks, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, live and silent auctions, entertainment, and, of course, socialization. Many of the trees that are displayed will be available for purchase as well.

The celebration, which takes place the following day, is a free family-friendly event. There will be storytellers reading to children, a choir singing carols, cookies, and trees inspired by patients at Seattle Children’s. There will also be shopping opportunities.

After the celebration, the trees will be available for viewing free of charge in Fairmont Olympic Hotel. The Teddy Bear Suite will also be free to view from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Events like this often use printing services to their advantage. The themed trees will come with storyboards about the featured patients, which will likely be printed. The organizers may also send out flyers or put up posters.

The gala will go from 5:00 to 10:00 pm on November 17 at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel, with the celebration from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm the next day. The trees are available for viewing from November 17 through December 2, and the Teddy Bear Suite will be open November 23 through December 26.
