The city of Seattle is hosting several Cinco de Mayo events this year, with two of note taking place in early May.
The 10th annual Cinco de Mayo celebration, hosted by El Centro de la Raza, is being held at the Jefferson Community Center. This free event will feature live entertainment, a health and social services fair, and children's activities.
Attendees can enjoy a fashion show featuring men, women, and children in traditional costume. A variety of vendors will be selling traditional crafts and merchandise, arts and crafts, and food. Booths are still available for rental by local businesses.
Taking place on the same day is the Taco Libre truck showdown and block party in the International District. Presented by the Mobile Food Rodeo, it will involve more than 30 food trucks will be competing for prizes. There will also be mariachi music, arts and crafts vendors, and Mexican wrestling.
Seattle Print companies may find an increase in orders for products such as Banners from the organizers of these events.
