A few intrepid souls will be starting 2022 with an icy dip, and they are hoping there will be lots of others who want to join in the fun.
The waters at Seattle’s Golden Gardens Park may be freezing cold, but that will not deter the members of the PNW Ladies Running Group from taking a dip. Anyone who would like to get involved is invited to do so at any time during the date of the activity, and they can share fun photos of their brave deed on social media.
While this fundraiser may be all about having fun with friends, it also has a higher purpose. Everyone is asked to consider making a donation of hats, socks, and other clothing to help keep those in need warm this winter. They are advised to bring a towel and a change of clothes and also to check with their doctor to make sure they are medically sound.
