Seattle hosts art and comics convention

The Short Run Comix & Arts Festival will be returning this year to its two venues, Fisher Pavilion and The Vera Project at Seattle Center.

Short Run is focused on showcasing artists and exhibits. More than half of the exhibitors are from the Pacific Northwest, but there are also several from across the United States, and even representing other countries. In the past, there have been exhibitors from countries including China, Sweden, Greece, Canada, and Spain.

The Fisher Pavilion will hold the exhibitor tables, bake sale, and animation tent. In previous years, attendees and exhibitors have all been pleased with the open, airy space. The Vera Project is only a short walk from the pavilion, and will hold an art gallery space as well as special programming. Both venues are available by ramps or elevators.

Short Run is free and open to the public. Opening hours vary per day, as this is a multi-day event. On Thursday, the event will be open from 7 to 9 pm; Friday from 6 to 9 pm; Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm, then from 8 to 11 pm for an afterparty; and Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm.

Events like this often use printing services in order to have printed maps, guides, and daily events for attendees to use. It will run from November 7 to 10 in Seattle.
