Ice cream can be a sweet way to beat the summer heat, and a Seattle cookery class will be teaching how to use it to prepare a tasty dessert.
The students in the session planned for The Pastry Project will be preparing the dynamic duo of ice cream sandwiches and cakes, and it will be a hands-on experience for the attendees. Tickets for the class are $129.89, and they need to be purchased ahead of time.
During the workshop, the instructor will teach how to prepare a chocolate sponge style cake topped with malted vanilla frosting. This will be the base for the ice cream cake. Next, it will be time to prepare the smaller ice cream sandwiches, and the cookies for this will be soft enough to bite through when they are frozen. Both dishes will use soft serve made on site, and everyone will be able to take home samples of their culinary creations.
A cooking or baking class can be a lot of fun while also teaching valuable life skills. Recipe cards, aprons and other custom-designed materials for a session will be on offer at a printing services company.
The pastry Project, which is located at 165 South Main Street in Seattle, will be offering this chilly workshop on July 13th. It will get started at 10:00 am, and while tickets are not refundable, they may be transferred to someone else.
