Popular annual festival returns this May

The 50th annual Northwest Folklife Festival is taking place in Seattle this Memorial Day Weekend. It is a fundraising event for the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

The theme for this year is "A Look Back, A Look Ahead." The festival will be virtual due to current health-related policies in the city. It has three main categories of activities, covering the past, the present, and the future.

There will be musical performances, dancers, native costumes and several cultural displays. This year's poster is available and was created by noted artist Robert L. Horton.

A virtual marketplace has also been set up for the occasion. Those interested in shopping will be able to purchase jewelry, art, and clothing. Produce and other foods will also be available from companies such as The House of Jerky and Blissful Wunders Chocolate.

There is no charge to attend the festival, but guests are asked to donate what they can to help the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Seattle flyer printing firms often supply printed advertising such as Flyers and Brochures to inform the public of events such as this one.

The festival will be streamed from the Seattle Center from May 28 to 31. To find out how to access this event and for information about planned activities and slated performers, contact April Jingco at 206-684-7300.
