Seattle will have its annual International Dance Festival next month.
The event will happen over a week and will celebrate contemporary dance, with performances from talent from inside and outside of the United States. The festival will feature several different programs, with different dance theaters showcasing their craft. These events usually use flyer printing for promotion, so anyone interested can expect more information once the festival date comes closer.
Usually, the festival takes place entirely in person, but this is not the case for 2021. Due to the COVID-19 situation, organizers have opted for a hybrid format. Live performances will still be available but at reduced seating capacity. Attendees are expected to wear face masks while at the venue. The performances will also be livestreamed for anyone wanting to watch from their homes.
The festival will take place between June 12 and 19. The event’s webpage has more information on specific programs and their start times. Each performance will cost between $18 to $25 and can be purchased separately. Organizers also give the option of a two-show pass for $40, a festival pass for $80, and a premium festival pass for $135. All performances will be conducted at the Broadway Performance Hall on 1625 Broadway Street. The festival will also accept donations from anyone who wants to support future events.
