All the streets are a stage when HONK! hits Seattle
Seattle streets will turn into concrete stages for an upcoming festival dedicated to street music this summer.
HONK! Fest West is a three-day event celebrating and showcasing the culture of street bands. Musical acts use the streets as their stage to play music that is free and that everyone can access.
There is no set venue, stage or location, as the acts can pop-up at any given street corner – turning public spaces into music celebrations. The festival is completely free for everyone. HONK! is a non-profit organization that runs entirely on donations and the work of volunteers.
The festival focuses on delivering entertainment to bring people together in the less affluent areas of Seattle. Day one the street acts will perform throughout Georgetown. Yesler Terrace will play host on day two, and day three will be held in the streets of Columbia City.

Seattle is not the only city where the HONK! Festival takes place. Seven other cities across the U.S. Are hosting their own events. There is also one in Canada, and several in South America and Australia.
