Virtual fundraiser to help Kent kids

An organization committed to helping Kent children access better education is going virtual with its annual fundraising drive in 2020.

The Kent Schools Foundation (KSF) has dedicated the month of November to its #KSFGiving month, and is planning online events and an online awareness campaign to get donations.

This is the third year for the fundraising drive. The past two years have been in-person auction events that have raised thousands of dollars. The KSF has already given out more than $28,000 in grant money this year to support programs in the Kent School District.

The KSF is a nonprofit group supporting programs and initiatives that break down the barriers to better education, such as poverty, trauma and illness.

As part of the fundraising drive, the KSF hopes to sell sponsorship packages to individuals and businesses. The Partner in Education packages start at $750. The packages include logo design on printed material and logos included on banner printing for events. The $10,000+ Innovator package will see the donor’s name or logo on the KSF letterhead.

The Kent Schools Foundation is holding a live online event on Wednesday, November 18 at 12:39 pm, where donors and residents can learn more about the work the foundation does and how it helps schools and Kent families. The event will be broadcast on the KSF website.
