What's Happening in Kent, WA…

Summer celebration returns to Kent

Kent Cornucopia Days are taking place in the city for four days this July, presented by the Kent Lions.

The celebrations will start off with a carnival that features over 20 amusement rides and arcade games. The 14th annual Cornucopia Cup soccer tournament will also be taking place during this event.

One of the more popular events is expected to be the Kent Lions Street Fair, which is set to feature over 600 booths from local businesses, artisans and community organizations. It will also include the Taste of Cornucopia in which local restaurants and caterers will sell samples of their food. A children's area will also provide activities such as face painting and balloons.

Other events slated to take place include the Lions Health Fair with displays from local health providers, the Kent Valley Artists Association art show, the 14th annual Dragon boat races, an inline skate and skateboard tournament and a grand parade with the theme of ‘Kent's the Scene for 2014’. Visitors can also enjoy musical entertainment, a beer garden, and bingo.

Organizers of the events have likely been in talks with Kent printing companies to produce advertising products such as posters and banners.

Kent Cornucopia Days takes place from July 10 to 13 at various venues. To learn more about the festival, contact the Kent Lions at 253-852-LION.
