Networking opportunity as golf event nears

The 24th Riverbend Ball Buster golf tournament is taking place next month in Kent.

Competition is open to players who have a verifiable United States Golf Association (USGA) handicap index. It will consist of approximately 60 teams of two players each; individual players will be teamed up by organizers prior to the tournament. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 16 teams who will share in a pot of $6,000; these winnings will be placed into members’ accounts or mailed out in late February. Winning will be based on both gross and net scores.

This is a shotgun start tournament and fees will include 18 holes of golf, all fees and range balls. In addition to an enjoyable golf game, participants will have premium views of the Cascades mountains and Mt. Rainier.

Golf is frequently used as a networking opportunity for local business leaders and this Kent tournament will likely be no different. It is likely that many of the participants will be bringing along their business cards to hand out to their peers.

The Riverbend Ball Buster golf tournament will be held at the Riverbend Golf Complex in Kent on Sunday, February 16 beginning at 8:30 AM. Participation fees are $65 per person or $130 for a team of two. Call 253-854-3673 to learn more about the day.
