Kent starts new year with OrcaCon
Kent residents are invited to attend OrcaCon 2022 which will be held in early 2022 in Bellingham, a short distance from Kent.
The event is a convention featuring tabletop games including board, card, miniature, and role-playing games.
The event features tournaments, games, demos, and workshops, along with panels. The goal of the organizers is to make games accessible to hobbyists, lifelong game enthusiasts, and newcomers. Board games ranging from the classics to the newest will be part of the gaming fun.
Industry professionals will present workshops and discussions on the art of games. The juried Merchant Hall will offer a full range of games and treasures. Vendors often use banners in their areas to highlight what they have to sell. Banner printing can be handled by local print shops.
Community Row is a designated area at the convention for local groups and organizations. Visitors can check out what is taking place, resources, and upcoming activities for the community in this section.
Participants can register to play games, watch demos, or visit the Games Library where games may be checked out. The Play and Win is sponsored by Double Exposure and will be open to participation. Attendees are also invited to bring their own favorite games to share with others.
