Kent plans Team up 2 Clean up
The Kent Downtown Partnership will present the Team up 2 Clean up event in early fall. The event gathers local volunteers to assist with set up and clean up.
Local families, individuals, groups and families are encouraged to come out and help clean up trash, trim vegetation, sweep the streets and sidewalks and help with recycling pick up. All ages are invited to participate.
The focus will be on Kherson Park in Kent; everyone will meet here and be given their task assignments. Banners make ideal signage to help people working in a large outside event find designated locations and follow directions. Banner printing is typically handled by local print shops. They can contain built-in grommets for easy hanging.
All participants will be expected to abide to social distancing protocols in practice at the time of the event. Masks will be required. Garden gloves are recommended. Six feet of separation should be observed as much as possible when not working with family members.
Tools and equipment will be provided along with disposable gloves, The cleanup activities will take place rain or shine. Participants are encouraged to dress accordingly.
