Kent Kids Art Day project creates hands-on fun
Kent Kids Art Day is celebrating its 33rd year of cultivating creativity and artistic expression in local kids and families.
The day is designed to give local kids and families from all backgrounds a fun, educational and quality experience in the arts, with hands-on workshops and exploratory projects. Organizers expect between 500-600 participants will attend.
Admission is $10 per child. Adults and children younger than two do not have to pay the entrance fee, but all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Every year organizers of the event call on artists from the Puget Sound area to create and manage different art projects for the event.
Lunch, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase or attendees can bring their own. Local bands, choirs and community groups will be performing throughout the day.
Kent Kids Art Day is funded and organized by the Kent Arts Commission and the City of Kent Parks, Recreation and Community Services and also receives funding by 4Culture, Kent Lions Club, Kent YMCA, Smith Brothers Dairy, and Kent Community Foundation.
Events such as this are great opportunities for sponsors and government organizations to connect with the community with flyer printing and banner printing.
Kent Kids Art Day is Saturday, March 14 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Kent Commons, 525 Fourth Avenue North, in Kent.
