Kent gets ready for holiday shopping

The city of Kent has two craft markets that will be taking place early next month. They will help to kick-off the holiday gift shopping season in the Northwest.

The first event will be the 32nd annual Holiday Craft Market, which will run from for two days. Presented by the City of Kent, there will be a variety of arts and crafts vendors on hand to sell handmade items such as jewelry, Christmas decorations, and clothing. There will also be a Figgy Puddy bake sale and musical entertainment. Lunch will be available for purchase, and each guest will receive a shopping bag containing with flyers from sponsors.

The next one is the 29th Artisan’s Festival. This is presented by the Kent Guild and is a fundraiser for Seattle Children’s Hospital. It will feature a variety of handcrafted items from local artists, along with a wine pull and a raffle. Dinner and lunch can be purchased. Funds raised help provide healthcare for people without insurance.
