What's Happening in Kent, WA…

Kent celebrates its history this summer

Experience Historical Kent is taking place this August, and will consist of bus, walking, driving, and self-guided bicycle tours.

One tour stop will be the Mill Creek Neighborhood which has a large number of historic and character homes. Eric Reitan will be hosting a walking tour of downtown Kent as well.

A garden and home walking tour will be held every half hour, which will be hosted by the Greater Kent Historical Society and Museum. Another activity will consist of a bus tour of several historic cemeteries in the area, including a stop at the Seattle Pet Cemetery. Although this is free, guests must register in advance.

In addition, The Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum will be offering free admission all day and the Neely Soames Historic Homestead will be hosting an open house from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

A lot of Kent residents may be interested in this upcoming special event, so it is likely that organizers will be working with local stationery printers to produce advertising materials. This could include posters and flyers to be distributed throughout the city.

Experience Historical Kent will take place on August 16 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Tickets for the garden and home tour are $20 each. To find out more about the events, visit the official Kent city website.
