What's Happening in Kent, WA…

Kent animal welfare organization seeking volunteers

Regional Animal Services on King County will be holding an information session this June, and this Kent area event will outline the duties, benefits, and requirements in place for its volunteers.

Members of the public who are at least nine years of age are invited to sit in on the session so they can learn more about what volunteering with the organization is all about. The planners explained that many of these opportunities will be offered in Tukwila, Kent, Covington, and Kirkland, and additional task specific training will be offered if it is needed.

Those who would like to foster an animals, along with those who would prefer to volunteer for tasks such as dog walking and helping out at the vet clinic, may find this session to be highly informative. Students who choose to make an offer of help may be eligible to receive school community service credits should they take on a volunteer position, and the attendees at the event can ask questions to decide if this activity is a good fit for them.

An event like this tends to attract individuals who are actively interested in securing a volunteer position. Brochures, registration forms, name tags, and other items for this type of function can all be provided by area brochure printing companies.

The Regional Animal Services of King County has made arrangements to host this event on June 18. It is located at 21615- 64th Avenue S in Kent.
