Fundraiser to help children with disabilities
Quota International of Kent Valley is holding its annual Holiday Magic dinner and auction this September.
The event will benefit a number of local charities, including the hippotherapy program at the Children's Therapy Center.
Guests will be treated to a special dinner and a dessert dash. There will also be silent and live auctions and raffles. This event managed to draw in over $34,000 last year.
The organization raises funds to help various charities all over the world through a number of events. These include providing college scholarships for Highline and Kent School Districts students, and helping to fund Kent Parks and Recreation Studio 315, which is a social club for disabled adults.
The Children's Therapy Center has been named as Fund-a-Need program for this year. Its hippotherapy service consists primarily of horseback riding therapy, which is believed to help children with all sorts of disabilities develop their self-esteem and increase their physical strength.
In order to get the word out in Kent, organizers may decide to invest in services like brochure or flyer printing from reputable print companies in the area.
The dinner and auction are taking place at the Kent Commons on September 6th from 5:00pm - 10:00pm. Tickets are $45 each. To access up-to-date information about the event, visit the Quota International of Kent Valley's website.
