Fun event restarts in Kent
The Kent Downtown Partnership hosts several events annually that invite people to explore the city.
Next on the schedule is the Downtown Kent Wine Walk, which will allow participants to taste wines from their favorite shops. These will have vintages from selected boutique wineries available, with representatives of those vineyards on hand to pour their wines.
Those participating in the walk will not only be able to sample wines from the local area, but also do some shopping at local merchants, who will remain open for the walk. Entertainment from local artists is also on the schedule.
The walk itself is free for everyone, but those who would like to sample the wines will need to buy a ticket. Tastings are limited to those 21 years of age and over. Organizers are also asking participants to help reduce waste by bringing their own glasses. Events like this are more fun if participants have a map to venues, which organizers can create using flyer printing.
The Downtown Wine Walk is scheduled for June 10, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, beginning at 202 W. Gowe Street in Kent. Organizers note that the act of buying a ticket commits the purchaser to show either a negative Covid test or proof of vaccination when they check in. No exceptions will be made. Those going on the walk are also required to wear masks when not eating or drinking.
