What's Happening in Kent, WA…

Festival celebrated the many cultures of Washington State

The 10th annual Kent International Festival is taking place next month.

This year’s theme is ‘Learn from each other’ and guests will be treated to entertainment and food from a wide variety of cultures and countries.

The day will start off with the World Wide Walk which will feature people representing all participating cultural groups, some in traditional dress.

There will be three stages providing musical and cultural entertainment, an art exhibition and a food court. The food court is called Taste of Kent and will allow guests to sample a wide variety of foods for $5.

Vendors will be on hand to sell arts and crafts, food, and general merchandise. In addition, several community and cultural organizations will be providing the public with information about their programs and services. Guests can pick up a passport to be stamped at each cultural booth.

There will be a variety of activities to appeal to people of all ages. Last year, those activities included the World Dance Party.

The evening will end up with a finale concert featuring various cultural performance groups. Kent flyer printing companies often provide the advertising for events like this.

The Kent International Festival will be held at ShoWare on June 2 from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. Contact 206-601-6957 for more information.
