Community celebrates MLKs birthday
King County is holding several events to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The civil rights leader would have turned 85 this January.
The first one to take place is ‘Celebrate the Music’, which is presented by Delta Air Lines on January 13 at the Sea-Tac Airport Conference Center. It is classified as a musical celebration and is free to attend. For more information, visit the Eventbrite site.
Next is the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration at the Paramount Theatre on January 15. Presented by the King County Civil Rights Commission, it is set to feature speakers and musical performances. The winner of the Student Essay Award will also be announced.
