Comedian and rapper coming to Kent
A veteran rapper, actor, comedian and social activist will visit Kent soon.
Katt Williams is noted for his ability to blend thought-provoking material with wit to give audiences something to think about even as they laugh. He has performed on stage thousands of times, selling out arenas on several tours.
Williams began his career performing stand-up in local clubs in Cincinnati, then began to appear at comedy clubs throughout the nation. By 1999, he was well established and was appearing at venues such as The Hollywood Park Casino, The Ice House, The Comedy Club, and The Improv.
His breakthrough might be his work in the 2007 film “American Hustle.” The film was a success with critics and Williams’ reputation as a mainstream comedian was established. He released “It’s Pimpin’ Pimpin’,” his second comedy special for HBO, in 2008, and continued to tour. Billboard called this tour the “best of 2008.” Williams took a hiatus until 2012, when he appeared for the third time in an HBO comedy special.
Williams has also had a successful career as an actor in both film and television, appearing in movies like “Friday After Next” and shows such as “NYPD Blue.” A review says:
