What's Happening in Kent, WA…

Annual pet event returns to the area this May

Petpalooza is returning to the area this May, presented by Auburn Parks Arts and Recreation Department. Visitors are welcome to bring their well-behaved pets to this event.

There will be a day full of activities for members of the entire family. The first event taking place will be the Dog Trot 3K/5K Fun Run. The fees are $18 until April 24, $23 after, and $25 on the day of the event. The first 100 registered will receive a T-shirt.

The rest of the day will feature an animal entertainment stage, the Skyhoundz Disc Dog championship, a demonstration by the Seattle Flydogs and ‘Unleashed’ pet contests. There will also be agility demonstrations, giveaways, Farmyard Follies and GASCAR inter-species animal racing. For the kids, there will be pony rides, a pet parade, a petting zoo, and Ag-Ventureland.

In addition, more than 150 vendors will be in attendance and will be selling a variety of pet-related products.

Animal lovers from all over, including Kent, will no doubt want to visit this annual event. To spread the word in the community, local print companies are often asked to provide advertising materials such as flyers and booklets.

Petpalooza is being held at Game Farm Park in Auburn on May 16 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission is free. Contact Kristy Pachciarz at 253-931-3043 to learn more.
