Chamber to host scholarship event
The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce has announced upcoming details for the annual Rob Fuller scholarship luncheon.
This event celebrates the legacy of businessman and philanthropist Rob Fuller, and seeks to raise money for scholarships to local high school students.
Chamber officials have said that they plan on giving away 25 $1,000 scholarships to high schoolers via the Rob Fuller Scholarship Fund. Scholarships can be given to any high school student in the Centralia-Chehalis area and are supported by the local community and area businesses.
This year’s lunch will spend time not only raising money and discussing the legacy of Fuller, but allowing Chamber members to network with each other and better get to know vital community organizations funding this year’s scholarships. As such, Chamber members who attend the event may be wise to bring business cards.
Interested students are encouraged to check out the Chamber website for additional information on how they can apply.
This event is on Tuesday, May 7. Chamber officials have said that additional details – including event timing and location – will be announced on a later date. Members are encouraged to check out the Chamber website for more information as it becomes available, and can also find information on how they can make a tax-deductible donation to the Rob Fuller Scholarship Fund, as well as explore sponsorship opportunities for the event.
