Tomball library hosts virtual events for the month
The Tomball Community Library at Lone Star College has many events planned for this month.
There will be family and children’s programs. Tech Quest, geared for those between the ages of six and 12, will explore the Tomball Innovation Lab. This will be virtual and on Monday February 8 at 1:00 pm.
Following that, Children’s Librarians for Kid Lit will provide information about graphic novels and chapter books on Monday, February 15 at 1:00 pm. Youngsters will be able to explore kid-friendly recipes during Kids in the Kitchen on Friday, February 19 at 1:00 pm, and can follow this up by learning about gardening on Monday, February 22 at 1:00 pm.
Such events often use poster printing to promote and garner interest in the community.
There will also be several recurring programs for teenagers. Every Wednesday from 4:00 to 4:45 pm will be Teen Talk where teenagers can meet and reconnect with friends. Teenagers can play some games and also meet people at Jackbox Fridays at 3:00 pm. Those in grades 9 through 12 who enjoy reading can join the Third Book Party as part of the Tournament of Books on Thursday, February 25 at 4:30 pm.
Several book clubs will also be held, including one on Jane Austen on February 22 at 7:00 pm, one on the best in literary fiction on the second Tuesday of the month at 2:00 p.m, and the history book club every last Wednesday at 6:30 pm.
