The Disney College Program is a career development and paid internship program which The Walt Disney Company offers. College students can work and live at Walt Disney World Resort and enjoy a unique combination of immersive Disney learning experiences, paid work, and opportunities for personal growth.
Thompson and Rodriguez went on a trip of seven days as participants in the LSC-Tomball Disney Innovations and Leadership Academy where they learned about the program. They were inspired by employees of Disney and became eager to further explore communication, leadership, and personal growth through the unique perspective of Disney.
During the program they will live at Flamingo Crossings Village in Winter Garden. They will not know what their role will be until two weeks before the start of their program. Thompson’s program will run from May 2025 through January 2026, while Rodriguez will participate from September 2025 to January 2026.
Once they complete the program, they will return to LSC-Tomball to complete the requirements for their associate’s degree and then transfer to four-year universities.
