New and updated model of sports car on display in Tomball
The new Corvette C8 Stingray for the 2020 model season is being rolled out, and those in Tomball will have the opportunity to see the mid-engine sports car at a local dealership in November.
The design of the Corvette has moved from front-engine to mid-engine, meaning the engine is placed in the middle of the vehicle. This affords better weight distribution and balance to improve driving dynamics. The engine is an all-atmosphere 6.2L LT2 V8, which can produce as much as 495 horsepower at 6,450 rpm. An optional performance exhaust system produces 470 pound-feet of torque at 5,150 rpm. A louvered cover with plaques is on the top of the engine with the word “Corvette” on it.
The trunk space in the rear is large with enough space to fit the central roof section. This can easily be removed for days when driving is ideal for an open top. The cabin is filled with easy to use buttons and an infotainment screen.
