The president of Lone Star College—Tomball, Lee Ann Nutt, said that also planned are expanded programs for healthcare professionals. Consequently, the Health Science Building of LSC—Tomball will be expanded. Nutt said that the process has begun to construct another building on the same property as the existing building, which will enable the college to add more programs in the field of healthcare.
Nutt added that although it is still two to three years to an opening of the new building, initial plans are underway to offer associate degrees in ophthalmic, neurodiagnostic, anesthesia, and polysomnographic technology. A medical lab technician program is also being added to LSC—Tomball this fall.
Lastly, partnerships have been established between the TISD, HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball, and the Tomball campus on a Pathways in Technology Early College High School program in the health professions.
