A couple of Richardson Independent School District (ISD) board of trustee races will be decided by voters in May.
Two members of the board occupy at-large seats; five seats are elected to represent specific districts and voting for them is restricted to voters registered in each of those districts. Two of the seven current trustees have chosen to not seek re-election in May.
Print shops provide a key component of elections via the production of Signs to promote candidates as well as Brochures and Promotional Products such as Pens, pencils and other small items containing the candidates’ name.
One of the seats, the At-Large Place 7 position, has seven candidates vying to replace trustee Kim Caston. At the January 11 meeting of the board Caston announced that she would not be running for another term.
Steve Mitchell, a member of the Richardson City Council, had filed for the open At-Large position as well but withdrew from the race earlier this month.
The Single-Member District 1 seat has three candidates competing to take over the position presently held by Jean Bono. At the January 7 meeting Bono reported she would step down when her term was up.
RISD board members serve staggered three-year terms terms and may serve as many terms as they can win.
Election day is May 1, early voting is scheduled for April 19-27.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Signs Get a Free Quote for Pens Get a Free Quote for Brochures
