This summer, Northern Texas will be luring in readers with book signings and chances to meet independent authors.
This event aims to bring together authors and readers from various types of literature. It offers a chance for independent writers to showcase their work, while also providing a space where fans can meet the authors they love.
Started in 2022, the first event only had a handful of authors from Texas who wanted to create a space for indie writers similar to them. They hoped that their event would be an opportunity for these writers to gain more public recognition and interact with readers. The inaugural gathering was very successful which convinced the organizers to make it bigger. This year, about 70 authors and vendors will take part. During the two-day event, attendees will have plenty to do. Activities have been planned so that there is plenty of interaction between authors and the audience. There will be panel discussions, book readings, Q&A sessions, and educational classes. The readers can ask questions, join in conversations, and also have an opportunity to win door prizes every hour during this interactive event.
The Texas Author Con and Book Festival will happen at the Hilton Richardson-Dallas in Richardson. It runs from 1 PM on July 26th until 7 PM on July 27th.
