Richardson companies compete while raising funds

The biggest companies in Richardson will be competing to determine which one has the fittest employees.

The event, which began in 1998, is a 10-week-long Olympic-style competition that brings together different companies and their workers for numerous athletic and non-athletic contests. This challenge encourages community spirit, teamwork as well as corporate friendship while also backing Special Olympics Texas.

Activities in the Richardson Corporate Challenge are varied. There are competitions for athletics like softball, volleyball, and soccer as well as interesting ones such as cornhole and disc golf. There is also a mixture of non-athletic events to ensure everyone can participate. The timing for these events is set after work hours during the week and on weekends. This makes it possible for employees, their spouses, and retirees to attend. Printing services could be used to create awards and prizes for winners of such events.

A special moment is the beginning event, where there will be a variety of activities like a T-shirt competition and raffle programs to start off this contest officially. The exciting celebration sets the mood for the coming weeks of competing. Starting from its origin, Richardson Corporate Challenge has gathered more than $3 million for Special Olympics Texas showing its significant effect on the community.

The Richardson Corporate Challenge is a yearly event that runs from the end of August until October.
